Cyrano de Bergerac, starring James McAvoy, announces $10 onstage seats, available exclusively through TodayTix. The tickets will be made available daily for performances of the U.S. premiere, which begins performances April 5 at Off-Broadway's Brooklyn Academy of Music. The run is scheduled through May 22.
The well-known story of Cyrano, a cadet in the French army who is a secret poet unwilling to approach the woman he loves due to insecurities over his large nose, is adapted by Martin Crimp into the style of rap battle-meets-slam poetry. Jamie Lloyd directs the production, which strips back the 1897 verse drama by Edmond Rostand. It first opened at London's Playhouse Theatre and won the 2020 Olivier Award for Best Revival and earned four additional Olivier Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Director.
Along with McAvoy as Cyrano, the cast also stars Michele Austin as Ragueneau, Adam Best as Le Bret, Sam Black as Armand, Nari Blair-Mangat as Valvert, Vaneeka Dadhria as Beatboxer, Adrian Der Gregorian as Montfleury, Tom Edden as De Guiche, Eben Figueiredo as Christian, Jon Furlong as Annoying Person, Tazmyn-May Gebbett as Minder, Carla Harrison-Hodge as Denise, Mika Onyx Johnson as Usher, Joseph Langdon as Jean-Paul, Sophie Mercell as Marie-Louise, Evelyn Miller as Roxane, Nima Taleghani as Ligniere, and Brinsley Terence as Theatre Owner.
