Bashevis's Demons, featuring three short stories by Nobel Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer, is presented Off-Broadway beginning December 18 at Theatre 154.

Following engagements in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, performances will continue Off-Broadway through January 5, 2025.

Directed by Moshe Yassur with Beate Hein Bennett, the cast features Shane Baker and Miryem-Khaye Seigel. The production is performed utilizing Singer's original Yiddish with English supertitles projected.

The tales include The Mirror, in which an ignored young wife steps through a mirror into a world where she can be the center of attention; The Last Demon, about a Jewish demon that fails to bring down a shtetl rabbi; and Kukeriku, a rooster’s tale of hope on the eve of a great slaughter.

Bashevis's Demons is presented by the Congress for Jewish Culture in association with ChaShaMa and Out of the Box Theatrics.
