In honor of those living with HIV and AIDS and in memory of those lost to AIDS, Playbill presents the Gilead Storytellers series to commemorate World AIDS Day. On December 1, 2020, Playbill is proud to broadcast Remember the Ribbon: A Tribute to World AIDS Day, a concert event unlocking performances from the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS video vault to uplift and inspire audiences.
Leading up to Remember the Ribbon, Hamilton leading man Javier Muñoz, Broadway actress Rema Webb (The Color Purple, The Lion King), playwright Donja R. Love (The Love* Plays), and Executive Director Tom Viola (Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS) offer moving performances and personal stories about their experiences/involvement with HIV/AIDS and the community, the challenges they have overcome, and the hopeful reality of today. Playbill releases video installments of the Gilead Storytellers series on Mondays beginning November 9th.
