Off-Broadway's Teeth will take a final bow at New World Stages January 5, 2025. The show opened October 31 after beginning previews October 18. As of the final performance, the Michael R. Jackson and Anna K. Jacobs musical will have run for 12 previews and 78 performances. The show first premiered at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons this past spring in a sold-out, twice-extended run. It then transferred to New World Stages.
Alyse Alan Louis (Soft Power, Disaster!) as Dawn O’Keefe. Opposite Louis is three-time Tony Award nominee Andy Karl (Groundhog Day, Rocky) as Pastor Bill O'Keefe, Will Connolly (Once, “The Gilded Age”) as Brad O’Keefe, Jason Gotay (Bring it On, A Bronx Tale) as Tobey,and Jared Loftin (Gigantic; Tick, Tick…Boom!) as Ryan. Completing the cast are Courtney Bassett (Titanique, The Great Comet), Jenna Rose Husli (Sister Act), Micaela Lamas (Dear Evan Hansen), Madison McBride (Next to Normal), Sydney Parra (Six), and Wren Rivera (Jagged Little Pill). The understudies are Julia Bain (Waitress), Sean Doherty (Jagged Little Pill), Michael Doliner (Beetlejuice), Kyra Kennedy (Beautiful), Claire Kwon (Almost Famous), and James D Sasser (Riverdance).

Adapted from the 2007 horror comedy film of the same name by Mitchell Lichtenstein, Teeth features a book and music by Jacobs and book and lyrics by Jackson, the latter a Pulitzer and Tony winner for A Strange Loop. The story follows evangelical Christian teenager Dawn O'Keefe, whose body bites back when men try to violate her.
Sarah Benson is back to direct after staging the world premiere, with Raja Feather Kelly also back to choreograph. In fact, the entire creative team are back to reprise their work, including scenic designer Adam Rigg, costume designer Enver Chakartash, lighting designer Jane Cox (now newly joined by Stacey Derosier), sound designer Palmer Hefferan, special effects designer Jeremy Chernick, orchestrator Kris Kukul, music supervisor Julie McBride, music director Patrick Sulken, intimacy director Crista Marie Jackson, and fight director Robert Westley. Rob Pickens and Katie Gell are providing wig, hair, and makeup design, and Thomas Dieter is production stage manager.
Mark Gordon Pictures, Mickey Liddell, and Pete Shilaimon for LD Entertainment are also producing the current run.
