Confederates, a new play by Tony nominee Dominique Morisseau, will now run at Signature Theatre from March 8 to April 10. Originally slated to begin February 22, the production has been postponed due to COVID-related scheduling conflicts.

The play follows Sara, an enslaved rebel turned Union spy, and Sandra, a tenured professor in a modern-day private university, as they have parallel experiences of institutional racism, even while living more than a century apart. Stori Ayers directs the production.

Starting March 1, Signature Theatre will require proof of a booster shot in addition to a COVID-19 vaccination for audience members attending shows at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
