Industry News Wicked's Amanda Jane Cooper to Lead Workshop of New Musical True North

A presentation of the show will play at Institute of American Musical Theatre next month.

Institute of American Musical Theatre is presenting invite-only workshop performances of True North: A Magical New Musical March 14. 

Leading the cast of the new show written by Holly and Kelvin Reed is Amanda Jane Cooper, who recently returned to the role of Glinda in WickedShe originally made her Broadway debut in the role in 2017.

True North follows the Patterson family as young Benjamin and his sister Kami must face the challenges of a turbulent holiday season. With their father deployed just weeks before Christmas, they learn what hope and a little help can do.

Directing the workshop will be Ilana Ransom Toeplitz (The Prom); she will be joined by music director Micah Young and executive producers Sue Gilad and Larry Rogowsky of In Fine Company Productions.
