Theatre Royal Drury Lane will present concert-styled performances of Chess, Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper's Kinky Boots, and the new work Treason, led by Carrie Hope Fletcher, Matt Willis, and Samantha Barks in August.
The season will begin with Chess starring Barks as Florence and Hadley Fraser (2:22 A Ghost Story) as Anatoly. The concert will play August 1. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
The creative team includes Nick Winston as director and choreographer, Alexandra Sarmiento as associate director and choreographer, Freddie Tapner as musical director, Ruth Sutcliffe as set designer, Ben Cracknell as lighting designer, Chris Winn as lighting programmer, Tom Marshall as sound designer, and Duncan McLean as video projection designer.

Playing August 8 will be the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Kinky Boots with Cedric Neal (Back To The Future) as Lola/Simon, Willis (Waitress) as Charlie, and Courtney Bowman (Legally Blonde)as Lauren. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
The creative team features Omar F. Okai as the director with music direction by Freddie Tapner, set design by Ruth Sutcliffe, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, lighting programming by Chris Winn, and sound design by Tom Marshall.
Lastly is the new musical Treason which will make its live stage debut August 22. Leading the cast is Fletcher (Les Misérables) as Martha Percy, Bradley Jaden (Les Misérables) as Thomas Percy, and Simon-Anthony Rhoden (Hamilton) as Robert Catesby. Previously, the show had a streamed concert from Cadogan Hall and released six tracks on streaming platforms.
Director Hannah Chissick leads the creative team comprising choreography by Taylor Walker, music supervisor by Nick Pinchbeck, orchestrations by Matthew Malone, set design by Ruth Sutcliffe, lighting design by Simisola Majekodunmi, sound designer by Tom Marshall, video design by Gino Green, and dramaturgy by Chissick.
Casting for all three shows was done by Harry Blumenau.
Currently playing at the theatre is Frozen the Musical, starring Barks, Stephanie McKeon, and Craig Gallivan. This summer will also see social commentator Fran Lebowtiz live in conversation for a limited run.
