Casting is set for the London world premiere of the new musical Stiletto, which will play the Charing Cross Theatre March 24-June 15, 2025.

Set in Venice, Europe’s opera capital, during the winter of 1730-1731, the cast will be led by Greg Barnett as Faustino, Sam Barrett as Luigi, Jack Chambers as Marco, Kelly Hampson as Azzurra, Douglas Hansell as Pietro, Jewelle Hutchinson as Gioia, and Connor Wood as Niccolo.

The ensemble will include Alex Anstey, Aiden Carson, Richard Dawes, Grace Galloway, Jennie Jacobs, Owen Johnston, Cassandra McCowan, Hannah Murdoch, Samuel John Taylor, and Sienna Widd.

With music and lyrics by Grammy nominee Matthew Wilder and a book by Olivier nominee Tim Luscombe, the new musical follows aspiring opera singer Marco, who meets Gioia, who is confident, strong-willed, and supremely talented. Marco introduces Gioia to society and his patron, the Contessa Azzurra, but at the end of the evening, a body lies dead, and Gioia is imprisoned. To free her, Marco must overcome the demons of his past and the morally corrupt forces of the present.

Director David Gilmore's creative team includes staging consultant and Olivier nominee Anthony Van Laast with musical staging by Chris Baldock and musical direction by Jae Alexander.

Stiletto is produced by Patrick Bywalski and Steven M. Levy for Stiletto West End Ltd.
