Broadway alum Jon Michael Hill (Pass Over) and Amanda Warren (Dickinson) will star in the upcoming production of The Mountaintop at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse.

Written by Olivier winner and two-time Tony nominee Katoria Hall (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical), the play will begin previews June 6 and officially open June 15.  The limited run is set to conclude July 9.

In The Mountaintop, it's April 3, 1968, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has returned to his motel after delivering a speech that would go down in history. It will also turn out to be his last night. Hill will play King opposite Warren as Camae, a maid who delivers both room service and hard truths.

Patricia McGregor (Skeleton Crew) will direct the production, which will feature scenic design by Rachel Myers, costume design by Mylette Nora, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, sound design by Cricket S. Myers, projection design by Yee Eun Nam, and dramaturgy by Rachel Phillips Epstein. Casting is by Phyllis Schuringa.
