Signature Theatre presented a sold-out benefit concert of the Broadway-bound musical Just in Time, starring Tony winner Jonathan Groff as legendary singer Bobby Darin, November 11 in Arlington, Virginia.
The one-night-only presentation, benefiting the theatre's
artistic and education programs, was produced through special
arrangement with Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, and John Frost.
Developed
and directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge, Beetlejuice), Just in Time has a book by Tony winner Warren Leight (Side Man) and Isaac Oliver (Intimacy Idiot), music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick (Parade), choreography by Shannon Lewis (Fosse), and is based on an original concept by Ted Chapin.
The new musical will begin previews March 28, 2025, prior to an official opening April 23, 2025, at Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre. The immersive production, featuring the Merrily We Roll Along Tony winner backed by a live band, plus a cast of 16, will include such Darin hits as “Beyond the Sea,” “Mack the Knife,” “Splish Splash,” and “Dream Lover.”
