The new work from three-time Emmy winner Randy Rogel has announced its creative team.

California's La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has found the creative team for the upcoming world premiere of the "beatnik horror comedy musical" Did You See What Walter Paisley Did Today? by three-time Emmy winner Randy Rogel (AnimaniacsBatman: The Animated Series). Performances will begin for the limited engagement March 16, with opening night set for March 18 and a run slated through April 2.

Developed and directed by BT McNicholl (SpamalotCabaret), the work follows struggling beatnik sculptor Walter Paisley. While living in San Francisco, he accidentally stumbles upon a new art style with big consequences, including fame, fortune, and maybe even some trouble.

Casting will be announced at a later date.

With a score inspired by cool jazz, Petula Clark, and Neil Sedaka, the production will feature choreography by Connor Gallagher (Beetlejuice). Andrew Orbison will serve as musical director, joined on the creative team by scenic designer John Iacovelli, lighting designer David Lander, projection designer Ryan Marsh, sound designer Cricket S. Myers, costume designer Ann Closs-Farley, puppet designer Aaron de la Pena, and puppet/prop fabricator Kis Knekt. Tony winner Larry Hochman (Book of Mormon) is orchestrator with Kimberly Grigsby as music supervisor. Casting is by Binder Casting. The production stage manager is Bree Sherry.
