Casting is complete for the world premiere of the new musical comedy The Last Supper, which will play the South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, New Jersey, July 27-August 7.
Directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller and choreographed by Lorin Latarro, the cast will be led by Tony nominee Charlotte d'Amboise, Mark Evans, and Alex Newell, with Pomme Koch, Megan Kane, Allan K. Washington, and Wes Zurick. Understudies are Josh Canfield, Jennifer Frankel, and Alan Wiggins.
With a book, music, and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon and Jeff Thomson, The Last Supper is based on Dan Rosen's film of the same name and concerns five liberal grad students who share a house in a conservative college town and host a collection of their neighbors for an evening of dinner and discourse.
The production will feature set design by Lawrence E. Moten III, lighting design by Abigail Hoke-Brady, costume design by Haydee Zelideth Antuñano, sound design by Tony winner Jessica Paz, and production management by Duncan Northern of TINC.
