Jagged Little Pill Tony winner Lauren Patten—who can currently be seen in MCC Theater's New York premiere of the new musical The Lonely Few—also took part in the Off-Broadway company's annual Miscast benefit concert April 15 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Miscast, the industry
favorite that features Broadway stars performing songs from
roles in which they might not be traditionally cast, is currently available for streaming online through May 12. Watch Patten rock out with Jonathan Larson's Rent anthem "One Song Glory" in the video above.
This year's concert honored MCC Youth Company alum Nicole Suazo and Jason Robert Brown, whose new musical The Connector recently made its world premiere via the Off-Broadway company.
The digital broadcast, presented in partnership with Broadway unlocked, is available online at Watch.BroadwayUnlocked.com. See exclusive photos from the evening below.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
