Video: Watch Mykal Kilgore Perform 'Stars and the Moon' at Miscast 2024

MCC Theater hosted the 2024 edition of its annual benefit concert Miscast April 15 at Hammerstein Ballroom, and the window for streaming the digital broadcast online has been extended through May 12. An industry favorite, the concert features Broadway stars performing songs from roles in which they might not be traditionally cast. Watch Mykal Kilgore perform "Stars and the Moon" as Woman 2 from Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World in the video above.

This year's concert honored MCC Youth Company alum Nicole Suazo and Brown, whose new musical The Connector recently made its world premiere via the Off-Broadway company.

Performers included Nicholas Christopher, Gavin Creel, Amber Iman, Brian d'Arcy James, Mykal Kilgore, Tamika Lawrence, Ingrid Michaelson, Jinkx Monsoon, Lauren Patten, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Lea Salonga, Ryan Vasquez, Vanessa Williams, and Joy Woods. Will Van Dyke served as music director.
