Performances begin July 1 for Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. The production will run until August 6 at the theatre located in Bath, England.

Starring in the cast are Dickie Beau as Ariel, Gary Sefton as Stephano, William Chubb as Gonzalo, Stephen Kennedy as Trinculo, Nicholas Woodeson as Prospero, Pierro Niel-Mee as Ferdinand, Edward Hogg as Caliban, Derek Hutchinson as Alonso, Tanvi Virmani as Miranda, Natalie Winsor as Francisca, Finbar Lynch as Antonio, and Luke Mullins as Sebastian.

Shakespeare’s last play follows exiled duke and magician Prospero, his daughter Miranda, and local characters Caliban and Ariel who all live on an isolated island—but Prospero brings the past to the island's shores when he creates a storm that shipwrecks his enemies.

The production kicks off Deborah Warner's inaugural season as Artistic Director. Joining the creative team are designer Christof Hetzer, lighting designer Jean Kalman, and sound designer Mel Mercier. Mercier began his theatre career with a previous collaboration with Warner, her production with Fiona Shaw of Medea at the Abbey Court in Dublin.

Warner's previous productions of Shakespeare plays includes Julius Caesar at the Barbican, starring Simon Russell Beale and Ralph Fiennes; productions of King Lear, starring Glenda Jackson and Brian Cox; and Richard II, starring Shaw.
