Bright Star, the original new musical with music and book by Grammy and Emmy winner Steve Martin and music and lyrics by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Edie Brickell, officially opened March 24 at 6:30 PM following previews that began February 25 at the Cort Theatre.
The show is directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago).
Carmen Cusack makes her Broadway debut as Alice; she is joined by Paul Alexander Nolan, Tony nominee Michael Mulheren, A.J.
