Off-Broadway News Parody Musical Five Extends Off-Broadway

Ivana... Marla... Melania... Stormy... Ivanka... Can you guess the theme of this new political musical?

Parody musical FIVE has extended its Off-Broadway run at Theater 555. Originally scheduled to play its final performance March 10, the show will now stick around through April 21. The musical opened February 19 after beginning previews February 15. See highlights from the new musical above.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Shimmy Braun and Moshiel Newman Daphna and music and lyrics by Billy Recce (A Musical About Star Wars), Five takes a cue from Six but turns its eyes to the major women within the orbit of another incendiary political figure. Take a look at the cast of characters, and we bet you'll be able to figure out which.

That cast includes Anyae Anasia as Ivana, Gabriella Joy Rodriguez (The Color Purple) as Marla, Jaime Lyn Beatty (Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical) as Melania, Gabi Garcia as Stormy, Hannah Bonnett (Legally Blonde national tour) as Ivanka, and Jasmine Rice LaBeija as Hillary Clinton. Casting is by Michael Cassara.

Directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman, the production features orchestrations and arrangements by Terence "T" Odonkor, music supervision and arrangements by Lena Gabrielle, scenic design by David Goldstein, costume design by Florence D'Lee, lighting design by Jamie Roderick and Marie Yokoyama, sound design by Bailey Trierweiler of UptownWorks and Kevin Heard, and props by Brendan McCann. Mark Osgood is production stage manager.

Visceral Entertainment is general managing and serving as executive producer. The producing team comprises Shimmy Braun, Moshiel Newman Daphna, Alley Ballard, Adam Cohen, Israel Forst and Susan Sun, and The Broadway Investor's Club.
