In reflecting on this year, I have nothing but pride for all of the work created exclusively for Playbill in 2024. Vi Dang, our team of fierce freelancers—Tricia Baron, Jalen Gregory, and Michaelah Reynolds—and I conducted over 140 photoshoots and attended 38 opening night red carpets.
For theatre photographers, each shoot is filled with its unique challenges: time constraints, a jam-packed photo line on a red carpet, locations falling through, etc. Though once those hurdles are overcome, it makes the art that was created so much better. Below is just a sampling of all we made under the wildest of circumstances in 2024.
