The West End album releases June 17 with performances from Wicked alum Wade McCollum and more.

A live cast album of It Happened in Key West will get a digital release June 17 from Broadway Records. The musical, recorded July 31, 2018, at Charing Cross Theatre in London's West End, features a book by Jill Santoriello (A Tale of Two Cities), Jason Huza, and Jeremiah James, with music and lyrics by Santoriello, additional lyrics by Huza, and original concept by James.

Based on true events, the musical centers on Carl Von Vosel, who after losing the love of his life in an untimely death from tuberculosis, endeavors to take her body from the graveyard to his home, where they live undetected for almost a decade. The musical had its world premiere at Charing Cross Theatre in London, a production directed and choreographed by Marc Robin.

Joining McCollum on the album are Alyssa Martyn, Val Adams, Miguel Angel, Alexander Barria, Mary-Jean Caldwell, Guido Garcia Lueches, Sophia Lewis, Hannah McIver, Ross McLaren, Johan Munir, Nuno Queimado, Andrea Golinucci, and Siwan Henderson.

The band, led by music director and pianist Andrew Hopkins, also includes Tom Turner on keys, Jack Cherry on bass, Kristal Hamson on reeds, Miriam Wakeling on cello, and Oliver Pooley on drums and percussion. Robert Felstein penned the orchestrations.

The album is produced by Santoriello, James, and Rashad Chambers, co-produced by Cameron Smith, and engineered by Oscar Cotran and Hope Brennan. Mixing and mastering are by Tom Gioia at Visionary Music Group.
