Following a summer engagement in 2022 and the current encore run at London's Dominion Theatre, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s 1950s-set musical Grease will tour the U.K. and Ireland next year.

Again directed by Nikolai Foster with choreography by Arlene Phillips, the tour will launch April 12-20, 2024, at Bromley's Churchill Theatre. Performances are currently scheduled through November 2024 with a final stop at Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre. (The current West End production continues through October 28.)

Casting will be announced at a later date.

This production of Grease has designs by Colin Richmond, orchestrations and musical supervision by Tony winner Sarah Travis, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker, video and projection design by Douglas O’Connell, and casting by David Grindrod.

Grease opened in Chicago in 1971 and subsequently on Broadway in February 1972, where it received seven Tony nominations, including one for Best Musical. The original Broadway production played 20 previews and 3,388 regular performances. Richard Gere starred as Danny Zuko in the 1973 London premiere. The 1978 blockbuster film adaptation starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

This production of Grease is produced by Colin Ingram for InTheatre Productions, Playing Field, Gavin Kalin, and Curve.
