The Curtain Up Broadway Festival may be over, but you can still relive some highlights. Playbill has footage from the September 11 finale concert, which included performances from currently running Broadway shows such as Wicked and Chicago, as well as upcoming shows such as How to Dance in Ohio and Spamalot.
View footage from the finale concert above, which includes “Put Your Mind to It," performed by Back to the Future's Casey Likes and Hugh Coles, “Baby One More Time,” performed by & Juliet's Rachel Sim Webb, “When You’re Good to Mama,” performed by Chicago's Lili Thomas, and “This Is the Song That Goes Like This,” performed by Spamalot's Nik Walker and Leslie Kritzer.
Playbill, The Broadway League, the Times Square Alliance, and Prudential Financial were the presenters of the third-annual Curtain Up Broadway Festival, a three-day outdoor experience in Times Square presented by title sponsor Prudential Financial, with additional support from the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, The Film Fund, Music Performance Trust Fund, Open Jar Studios, and Hotel Edison. Held September 8–10 in Times Square, the event celebrated all things Broadway with sing-alongs, performances from Broadway stars, and more. See our complete recap from the weekend here.
