Thou Shalt Recoup! Broadway's An Act of God With Jim Parsons Is an Official Hit | Playbill

News Thou Shalt Recoup! Broadway's An Act of God With Jim Parsons Is an Official Hit The Broadway play An Act of God has recouped its entire $2.9 million capitalization in just 10 weeks of performances–very prompt by Broadway standards.

The production was no doubt helped by the presence of Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons, star of TV's "The Big Band Theory." Parsons plays God in the play, which is billed as "written by God, transcribed by David Javerbaum." In the script, God appears on Broadway to announce a few key revisions to The Bible.

Asked to comment, "God" said: “This is my favorite profit since Moses!”
