An Act of God is billed as “written by God” and "transcribed by" 13-time Emmy Award winner Javerbaum (Cry-Baby on Broadway). Tony winner Joe Mantello again directs.

The 90-minute comedy, according to press notes, concerns “the Almighty and His devoted Angels [who] answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since Creation. He’s finally arrived to set the record straight … and He’s not holding back!”

An Act of God, based on Javerbaum's book of the same title, premiered on Broadway May 7, 2015, and concluded its limited engagement August 2. It was the first Broadway production of the 2015-16 season to recoup its initial investment.

The production features scenic design by Tony Award winner Scott Pask, costume design by Tony Award nominee David Zinn, lighting design by Tony Award winner Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Drama Desk Award winner Fitz Patton and projection design by Drama Desk Award winner Peter Nigrini.

An Act of God is produced by Jeffrey Finn. 101 Productions, Ltd. serve as executive producer.
