Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) will be honored by New York City's Irish Arts Center (IAC) November 17 at the annual Spirit of Ireland Gala.

The Emmy winner will be celebrated alongside former UBS Americas and Wealth Management Americas COO Kathleen B. Lynch at Pier Sixty.

The Center is recognizing Irish American Colbert for his "insightful social commentary and humor, and the honesty and warmth with which he has convened his nightly national conversation, especially during difficult times." Lynch, the daughter of a Burtonport mother, spent three decades in leadership positions at UBS and Merrill Lynch, with significant dedication to philanthropic efforts on both sides of the Atlantic. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of UBS Americas Holding LLC, and Eastman Kodak.

IAC’s 2023 Spirit of Ireland Gala will feature appearances by the Center’s longtime honorary chairs Gabriel Byrne and Liam Neeson and a musical performance by the Irish Afro-Soul singer-songwriter Loah. The Gala is chaired by Robert J. McCann, a previous Spirit of Ireland Gala honoree.

The 2023 Irish Arts Center Spirit of Ireland Gala will celebrate the organization’s first two years in its new 21,700 square-foot building—a culmination of IAC’s transformation into one of New York’s multidisciplinary cultural institutions.
