The Irish Arts Center has raised $47 million towards building a new performance space in Hell's Kitchen, according to The New York Times.

The center, which presents a mix of music, theatre, comedy, film, dance and other special events, is currently located on West 51st Street. The organization reportedly plans to renovate its existing space and build a new facility on 11th Avenue; it is seeking to raise a total of $60 million.

According to the organization’s website, the new facility will contain a 199-seat theatre, an 85-seat intimate café venue; studio spaces for classes, rehearsals and the development of new work; and major technology advancements.

The Irish Arts Center is currently presenting a limited engagement of Deirdre Kinahan’s Wild Sky, starring Irish Times award-winning actors Caitriona Ennis and Ian Toner. Performances began March 31 and are scheduled to run through April 2.

Founded in 1972, the Irish Arts Center is dedicated to representing and preserving Irish culture and Irish American art in New York City. For more information visit Irishartscenter.org.
