Playbill and Cadillac teamed up to present the second Tonight We Dare at Cadillac House June 18. Cast members from Waitress, Kinky Boots, and Come From Away shared stories and musical performances highlighting the dreams, drive, and determination it took to take them all the way to Broadway.
“Culture is built on actions, and at Cadillac we want to create a culture based on respect, inclusion and safety; a place where every person can be their full self,” said Laura Jones, Cadillac global director of Human Resources in a statement. “Doing that means public displays of support for our diverse consumers, employees and neighbors, such as the annual Pride activities in and around Cadillac House.”
On hand were The Band’s Visit Tony Award winner Ar’iel Stachel, who served as the evening’s host, along with Come From Away's Tony-nominated songwriters and bookwriters David Hein and Irene Sankoff, who introduced Julie Reiber performing “Me and the Sky.”
The evening also included performances by Kinky Boots’ Julia McLellan performing “History of Wrong Guys,” and Waitress star Erich Bergen (currently making his Broadway debut) and Stephanie Torns performing “Bad Idea” from the Sara Bareilles musical.
