A London revival of Simon McBurney's Mnemonic officially opens at the National Theatre's Olivier July 2 after beginning previews June 22, a co-production with Complicité. Performances will continue through August 10.

McBurney (Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, The Encounter) is also directing the play, first seen 25 years ago.

Several members of the work's original cast are back for this new run, including Richard Katz, Tim McMullan, and Kostas Philippoglou. They're joined by Khalid Abdalla, Hisham Abdel Razek, Thomas Arnold, Laurenz Laufenberg, Sarah Slimani, Sophie Steer, Eileen Walsh, and Arthur Wilson.

In Mnemonic, a body is found in the ice, and a woman is looking for her father while a man searches for his lost lover. The play, according to press notes, is "as much about origins as it is about memory and remembering what is lost."

The production features set design by Michael Levine, costume design by Christina Cunningham, lighting design by Paul Anderson, sound design by Christopher Shutt, video design by Roland Horvath for rocafilm, and casting by Alastair Coomer. Elle McAlpine is intimacy coordinator, Osnat Schmool is vocal arranger, and Rebecca Clark Carey is dialect coach.
