Film & TV News See Jeremy Jordan Rock Some '70s Hair in the New Spinning Gold Trailer

The Neil Bogart bio movie hits theatres this month—with Casey Likes as a young Gene Simmons.

Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan taps back into his Rock of Ages roots for his new role in the biopic Spinning Gold. He plays Neil Bogart, music producer and founder of Casablanca Records, the label that first signed Kiss, Donna Summer, and the Village People.

Neil's son Timothy Scott Bogart writes and directs the film, centering on his late father's career in the 1970s, chronicling Neil's life through its million-dollar debts, disco successes, and Motown death threats—all set to the soundtrack he created at Casablanca. See the trailer above.

The large cast list is a who’s-who of today’s music scene, including Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo, Ledisi, and Tayla Parx. But keep your eyes peeled for several Broadway players, too: Samuel L. Jackson, Dan Fogler, and Casey Likes (next on Broadway this summer in Back to the Future) in full Kiss makeup as a young Gene Simmons.

Spinning Gold hits theatres March 31.
