Video Saturday Night Live Gives the Broadway Treatment to Singing to Yourself

The weekend sketch comedy show parodied the style of Broadway promotional videos in their February 25 episode with host Woody Harrelson.

How many times have you turned your own life into a musical by narrating via song your every action? Oh, on the daily? (No shade. We do, too.) Well, you're (we're) the subject of a new Saturday Night Live sketch.

The February 25 episode of SNL, with host Woody Harrelson, has turned that little act of singing to oneself into the big Broadway musical By Yourself. Watch the clip above.

Taking on the form of the notorious Broadway commercials you see on the little television screens in an NYC cab, the advert for the fictional musical features Harrelson and and the Saturday Night Live company singing snippets of tunes from By Yourself— a mix of original songs and jukebox-like pop covers that chronicle the embarrassing things we sing about when we're "by ourselves" at home. And like a real Broadway promotional video, it even featured (fictional) pull quotes from reviews.

(And don't miss the little poke at the recent viral meme of "doing the thing.")
