Mean Girls performer Riza Takahashi is hosting a new interview series on Broadstream called Authentically You. The series sees Takahashi and her peers discussing and celebrating the intersection between their work and AAPI identity.
The guest for episode one is Anastasia performer Kelli Youngman. Upcoming guests include Saki Masuda (The King and I), Jolina Javier (A Chorus Line), Kenway Kua (Wicked), and Darren Lee (History of War)
The host shared her new project on Instagram. "The first episode of a new interview series on @broad.stream just dropped yesterday! What a wonderful opportunity it was to interview these amazing artists. I feel so lucky to share their inspiring stories through this platform as a host." Takahashi continued on to thank her support group for "amplifying the voices of AAPI community."
The series is presented by Celebrate Asian Joy which was founded by Takahashi in 2021. The organization is committed to supporting and empowering AAPI artists on stage and screen, and musicians.
