The memorial, to be held in The Public's Anspacher Theater, is open to the general public, and doors will open at 2:30 PM.
According to the Public, "The memorial will pay tribute to Vaughan, who was instrumental in the early days of the New York Shakespeare Festival. The memorial will be hosted by Vincent Curcio, longtime friend and business partner of Vaughan, and Anne Thompson Vaughan. Vaughan was the director of the 1956 production of Julius Caesar at the East River Park Amphitheater, produced by Joseph Papp, and he went on to direct over 200 productions in New York and across the country."
Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis will also be in attendance.
