Halston (Olive and the Bitter Herbs, The Divine Sister) plays matron Evangeline Harcourt, and Petkoff (Ragtime, Fiddler on the Roof) plays Britisher Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, a love interest for brassy Reno Sweeney (played by Tony Award winner Sutton Foster).
Anything Goes, directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony winner Kathleen Marshall, also stars Academy Award winner Joel Grey as Moonface Martin.
Petkoff recently played Buddy in Follies at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Halston is a favorite performer of writer Charles Busch and was founding member of his Theatre-in-Limbo, co-starring with him in over ten productions including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, The Lady in Question, Red Scare on Sunset (Drama Desk nomination) and Shanghai Moon.
Anything Goes will play through April 29, 2012, on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street). It was originally scheduled to run through July 31, 2011. The cast currently features John McMartin as Elisha Whitney, Kelly Bishop as Evangeline Harcourt, Colin Donnell as Billy Crocker, Adam Godley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Erin Mackey as Hope Harcourt, Jessica Stone as Erma, Walter Charles as Captain, Robert Creighton as Purser, Andrew Cao as Luke, and Raymond J. Lee as John. Additional cast members include Clyde Alves, Ward Billeisen, Margot De La Barre, Daniel J. Set aboard a transatlantic ocean liner circa 1934, the show has music and lyrics by Cole Porter; original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse; and a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman.
