Tim Pigott-Smith ("Downton Abbey," "V for Vendetta,") will recreate his role as Charles Windsor in the play, which will start previews Oct. 10 and open Nov. 1 at the Music Box Theatre.
The play imagines a future when Prince Charles takes over the monarchy from his mother Queen Elizabeth II.
As previously reported, King Charles III will be presented by Stuart Thompson and Sonia Friedman, producers of recent transfers The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and the double-bill of Twelfth Night/Richard III, respectively.
After receiving its world premiere at London's Almeida Theater, King Charles III transferred to the West End, where it played an extended run through Jan. 31. Rupert Goold, (Enron, Macbeth) directed.
Bartlett's previous plays include Artefacts, Cock, Love Love Love, Bull, Chariots of Fire, Contractions, My Child, Medea and 13.
