News Molly Pope Will Sing the Music of Jerry Herman in Concert Next month’s show will celebrate her birthday.

Cabaret artist Molly Pope will celebrate her birthday with a new show, comprised entirely of the music of Jerry Herman, November 2 at 9:30 PM at The Duplex.

According to press notes, “She has assembled an evening of her favorite songs from Mame to Mack & Mabel to Hello, Dolly! and more. Expect witty banter, sing-a-longs, compulsory waltzing and Drew Wutke on the piano. A love letter to the musical theater genius who gave her teenage life a direction, join The Annual Molly Pope Birthday Show in an exuberant evening of good old fashioned show business.”

Pope’s shows have played Joe’s Pub, Feinstein’s/54 Below, Feinstein’s at the Regency, Ars Nova, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, OBERON (A.R.T.), and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in Australia. She is the recipient of both the 2016 Bistro Award for Creative Cabaret Artistry and the 2016 MAC Award for Musical Comedy Performer for her show Molly Pope Likes Your Status.

The Duplex is located at 61 Christopher Street at 7th Avenue. The cover charge is $15 in advance and $20 at the door with an additional two-drink minimum. Audience members must be over 21 years old to attend. For reservations, visit PurplePass.com.
