News Michael Urie, Annaleigh Ashford and More Took Part in Jeffrey Reading A reading of Paul Rudnick's Jeffrey, starring Michael Urie in the titular role, took place at Manhattan Theatre Club's studios earlier this week. Christopher Ashley directed.

The reading cast Urie as Jeffrey, with Michael Cyril Creighton, Robin de Jesus, James Monroe Iglehart, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Bryan Batt, Russell Tovey and Annaleigh Ashford in various roles.

The original 1992 Off-Broadway production was also directed by Ashley and won the Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Off-Broadway Play. The original cast included Batt, Harriet Harris, Tom Hewitt, Edward Hibbert, John Michael Higgins, Patrick Kerr, Richard Poe and Darryl Theirse.
