Further casting has been revealed for the upcoming Broadway debut of Doug Wright's Good Night, Oscar. As previously announced, the production will feature Tony-nominated stage and screen star Sean Hayes as actor and pianist Oscar Levant, with previews beginning April 7, 2023, at the Belasco and opening night set for April 24. The limited engagement will continue through August 27.

Newly joining the company are current Ain't No Mo' star Marchánt Davis, who will play Levant's medical assistant Alvin Finney; and Alex Wyse, playing Max Weinbaum. The production has also added understudies Sam Bell-Gurwitz, Postell Pringle, and Max Roll to the roster.

They join a previously announced cast that, along with Hayes, includes Emily Bergl (The Ferryman) as June Levant, Peter Grosz (Veep) as network executive Bob Sarnoff, Ben Rappaport (Fiddler on the RoofPicnic) as TV host Jack Paar, and John Zdrojeski (Heroes of the Fourth Turning) as George Gershwin.

Wright's play is set in 1958 while Jack Paar is hosting The Tonight Show. He’s booked his favorite guest, Oscar Levant. In 90 minutes, Levant will have audiences howling, censors scrambling, and—when it’s all over—America will be just a little less innocent than she was before. The work premiered earlier this year at Chicago's Goodman Theatre with Hayes leading the cast.

The project is the second attempt to craft a play around Hayes portraying Levant. Playwright David Adjmi alleged earlier this year that his own Levant play, written for Hayes and the same producing team behind Good Night, Oscar, was stymied by the development of Wright's.

Good Night, Oscar will feature scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Emilio Sosa, lighting design by Ben Stanton and Carolina Ortiz Herrera, sound design by André Pluess, music supervision by Chris Fenwick, wig, hair, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas, casting by Stephen Kopel, and dramaturgy by Jacqueline E. Lawton.
