Ahead of the release of Idina Menzel’s latest album, the Tony-winning star has given Playbill a sneak peek at one of the tracks: “Seasons of Love” from Broadway’s Rent.

Menzel first broke out playing Maureen in the original cast of Jonathan Larson’s musical. Since then, she has created the roles of Elphaba in Wicked (she and co-star Kristin Chenoweth will reunite to celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary on NBC), as well as Liz/Beth in If/Then. She is the voice of Elsa in Disney’s animated feature Frozen, having immortalized the song “Let It Go.”
The singer, having embarked on multiple concert tours, will next team up with Grammy-nominated singer Josh Groban beginning October 18 in Duluth, Georgia. Click here for a full listing of concert dates and locations.
idina: live also features theatrical solos such as “I’m Not That Girl” and “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, “No Day But Today” from Rent, and “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl.
