The original West End production of Joshua Harmon’s Bad Jews will return to London's Arts Theatre this summer. Performances are scheduled for July 14-September 25.
Reprising their work from the original West End production will be scenic designer Richard Kent, lighting designer Richard Howell, and sound designer Adrienne Quartly. Jon Pashley will direct, succeeding Michael Longhurst from the original run.
The comedy follows Daphna Feygenbaum, who is Jewish and has an Israeli boyfriend. When her cousin Liam brings home his non-Jewish girlfriend Melody and declares ownership of their grandfather’s necklace, it sparks a brawl over family, faith, and legacy.
Bad Jews premiered in New York in 2012 and subsequently transferred to the U.K., where it toured before playing two sold-out engagements in London’s West End.
Harmon is also the author of Significant Other, Admissions, Skintight, and Ivanka: A Medea for Right Now.
Bad Jews is presented by Simon Friend, Gavin Kalin, and Keren Misgav.
