International Arts Relations (INTAR) Theatre has announced their 2023—2024 season, which will present two world premiere works, plus a presentation from INTAR’s Unit 52, an ensemble of non-union, early career acting professionals.

The season will begin with a workshop production of José Rivera’s Sonnets for an Old Century, led by the Unit 52 ensemble. The performances, directed by Rebecca Aparício, Mariana Carreño, and Melissa Cresp, will run November 17-19. The cast will feature Briana Aponte, Valeria Avina, Sergio Caetano, Luis Feliciano, Daniel Gomez, John Maria Gutierrez, Maria Lavalle, Vasilios Leon, Georgina Morillo, Janeena Piñero, Lilian Rebelo, Derick Sherrier, Fe Torres, and Hara Zi.

Kicking off the new year will be the world premiere of Florencia Lozano's Fun With Panic Attacks. The performance art piece invites audiences to lie down on the floor with Floppy (Florencia Lozano) as she explores her lifelong journey with anxiety. Performances will run January 12–28, 2024.

INTAR Theatre will present another world premiere work in the spring, with José Rivera's The Hours Are Feminine. Written and directed by Rivera, the autobiographical play explores female friendship and the price of assimilation through the lens of a Puerto Rican family of three following Hurricane Donna's devastation in 1960. Casting and creative team information will be announced at a later date. The play will begin performances May 11 for a run scheduled through June 9. An official opening night is set for May 20.

INTAR is one of the longest-running Latiné theatres producing in English in the United States and is dedicated to developing theatre arts without borders and Latiné theatre artists.
