"I'm never looking for technical perfection in my portraits," explained photographer Zeren. "My ultimate goal is to select images that capture some genuine insight into the subject, which oftentimes requires a sense of abandonment in the process. The point of The Creative Faces Project is to capture the people behind the performance. I am there to photograph what is given to me by the subject in the brief moment that we share together. Upon meeting Jonathan, he was everything that one would hope he would be: courteous, kind, open and genuine. Very sincere. He had a hard time keeping a straight face, often times bursting into laughter, which are some of my favorite shots of him. It is his openness, warmth and mischief that truly shine through in this series. I am so happy to have this opportunity to share The Creative Faces Project and some of Jonathan's portraits with you all through Playbill."

Along with Zeren's creative and artistic portraits, his subjects also share a bit about themselves in a short Q&A.

Details that Groff shared about himself include that his greatest loves are Cate Blanchett and Beyoncé and that the three words that best describe him are "I laugh often compulsively."
