"Russell is truly a magnetic person," says photographer Zeren. "It is evident when you watch him perform and when you meet him in person. There is a special little sparkle that draws you to him. We only had 15 minutes to shoot because he got caught in traffic and I had another shoot lined up right after him. In that short amount of time we made some really great and simple portraits. He sat down and connected directly with the lens… no frills, just himself. Very down to earth and genuinely kind which only enhances all the rest. It was a true pleasure to get to briefly meet him and get acquainted through my camera. I'm excited to see what is next in line for the guy."
Along with Zeren's creative and artistic portraits, his subjects also share a bit about themselves in a short Q&A.
Details that Tovey shared about himself include that what he wanted to be when he grew up included "a history teacher then actor," and his greatest love is "Rocky, my dog."
