Prime Video has announced the lineup for its new, adult animated musical comedy Hazbin Hotel, and theatre fans will recognize many of the names involved.
Premiering January 19, 2024, the show will feature guest stars Darren Criss as Saint Peter, Jeremy Jordan as Lucifer Morningstar, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Carmilla Carmine, Patina Miller as Sera, and Jessica Vosk as Lute. They join the previously announced lineup that includes Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Tony winner Christian Borle, and Joel Perez.
The series follows the princess of Hell, Charlie Morningstar (Henningsen), as she sets about fulfilling her seemingly impossible dream of opening a hotel to rehabilitate sinners. With the help of her devoted manager and girlfriend, Vaggie (Beatriz), and their reluctant first patron, pornographic film actor Angel Dust (Roman), she's determined to make her dream become a reality. But when things go awry, her plan attracts the attention of the powerful "Radio Demon" Alastor (Talai) who wants to help Charlie run the hotel for his own amusement.
The series features original music and lyrics from Sam Haft and Emmy-nominated Andrew Underberg, who work alongside series creator and animator Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano.
