Bryant Park Presents Shakespeare, part of the park’s series of free, outdoor performances, will conclude its 2016 season with a new production of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, produced by the Drilling Company. The show is helmed by Orange Is the New Black actor Hamilton Clancy.

The Drilling Company—the same organization behind the long-running Shakespeare in the Parking Lot series—presents the all-new, jazz-infused interpretation of the Bard’s comedy, in which Vienna resembles New Orleans.

In this Measure for Measure, Vincentio is the city’s first black mayor. Free performances are set to run September 1-17 on the Upper Terrace in Bryant Park.
