Halloween night is almost here, and Broadway fans will be happy to know that some of its biggest stars are ready to summon up some ghoulish musical fun.
Here is a look at some of the places, performances, tricks, and treats you won't want to miss. All shows listed here take place October 31, except where otherwise noted:
The Skivvies: Halloween Hootenanny
The Green Room 42, New York City
The underwear-clad indie-pop duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley stages their annual Halloween Night bacchanalian concert of seasonal music, accompanied by top-drawer Broadway friends Alice Ripley, Sierra Boggess, Nick Adams, Jessica Vosk, Lesli Margherita, Kevin Zak, Josh Lamon, Travis Kent, and Leslie McDonel.

Jay Armstrong Johnson’s Not So Scary Halloween
Feinstein’s/ 54 Below, New York City
Jay Armstrong Johnson and Alysha Umphress, who co-starred as Chip and Hildy in the 2014 revival of On the Town, are reuniting for a Spook Night extravaganza—but you might not be able to recognize them. They will don costumes from the cult film Hocus Pocus for Armstrong’s annual tribute to ghosts and goblins, scheduled for two shows, 7 and 9:30 PM October 31.

At a special 11:30 PM show, the Manhattan supper club and cabaret will also present Swingin’ With The Mouse: Villains, with a concert of songs written for Disney film baddies, including “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “Be Prepared,” and “Cruella de Vil.”

Truffles Mystery Jazz Halloween, and Nona Hendryx: The Night Before the Day of the Dead
Joe’s Pub, New York City
The cabaret at the Public Theater in Greenwich Village has two Halloween shows. At 7:30 the club is transformed into Ciacco‘s Italian restaurant for the immersive murder mystery, Truffles Mystery Jazz Halloween, in which a prize two-pound truffle suddenly goes missing.

At the late show, Nona Hendryx: The Night Before the Day of the Dead, Mictecacihuatl the Aztec Goddess of the underworld, invites you to come in costume and bring marigolds, candles (electric only) and sweet offerings or a message to add to her altar. She is promising “Dancing, rituals, prayers and a rebirth closing, with guests Pistolera, Ani Cordero, Carl Hancock Rux, Keith Fluitt, Kiki Hawkins, and Asa Arnold.

Sierra Boggess is scheduled to be one of the headliners on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas July 2018 cruise to Iceland, accompanied by Judy Kuhn, Christine Ebersole, Rob McClure, Jarrod Spector, and Carmen Cusack.
