The film follows a queer romance between aspiring circus performer Glitter (Alex Diaz) and an up-and-coming musician Doom (Alan Cammish), with the story set to 25 reimagined songs from folk duo Indigo Girls. The songs—which include Indigo Girls classics "Galileo," "Get Out the Map," "World Falls," "Power of Two," and more—have been arranged and produced by Michelle Chamuel (The Voice), who also contributes vocals.
A number of Broadway vets are featured in the cast, including Missi Pyle, Lea DeLaria, Peppermint, and Beth Malone. Also featured are Tig Notaro, Kate Pierson (of the B-52's), Anne Burrell, and the Indigo Girls themselves.
Tom Gustafson directed the movie musical, which is written by Cory Kruckeberg. The duo previously collaborated on screen musicals Were the World Mine and Hello Again.
