The Pennsylvania company's summer season includes West Side Story, The Color Purple, The Music Man, and more.

Casting has been revealed for Pittsburgh CLO's 2024 season, which runs May 17-September 1. As previously reported, the Pennsylvania company's summer season includes productions of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, West Side Story, The Color Purple, The Music Man, Young Frankenstein, and Seussical.

Sabina Collazo and Spencer LaRue will star as Maria and Tony in West Side Story, directed and choreographed by Tony honoree and A Chorus Line original cast member Baayork Lee. The production will play the company's Benedum Center June 11-16. The creative team also includes associate director and choreographer Jacob Brent (Cats) and music director Anthony T. Edwards.

The Color Purple, playing June 25-30 in the Benedum Center, will feature Kayla Davion as Celie, with American Idol alum Tamyra Gray as Shug Avery. Christopher D. Betts will direct, with Tislarm Bouie choreographing, and music direction by Ilana Atkins.

Next in the season, Nikki Renée Daniels and Charles Esten will star as Marian Paroo and Harold Hill in The Music Man, directed by Broadway alum Sara Edwards and choreographed by Mara Newberry Greer. Season co-music supervisor Robert Neumeyer will handle music direction, with performances running July 9-14.

In the company's Greer Cabaret Theatre, the summer season will open with Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, featuring Gabrielle Lee as Billie Holiday. Tomé Cousin will direct, with performances running May 17-June 30. Kenney Green-Tilford will music direct. 

Tony nominee Beth Malone will star as the Cat in the Hat in Seussical, running July 30-August 4 in the Byham Theatre. Michael Heitzman will direct, with Robbie Roby choreographing, and season co-music supervisor Catie Brown music directing.

The season will close with Young Frankenstein in the Greer Cabaret Theatre, featuring Dan DeLuca and Tim Hartman as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and The Monster. Joel Ferrell will direct, with Neumeyer music directing. Performances will run July 19-September 1.
