Broadway For All (BFA) has announced casting for its upcoming reading of Adi Hanash and Patrick Vassel's Nothing Left to Burn, the final installment in its inaugural Front Door Reading Series. The work will be presented November 18 at 7 PM at El Barrio's Artspace PS109.

The cast will include George Abud (Lempicka, The Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical) as Mohamed Bouazizi, alongside Drew Elhamalawy (Queen of Versailles, We Live in Cairo), John El-Jor (Mean Girls, American Idol), Nadina Hassan (We Live in Cairo, Mean Girls), Michael Karadsheh (The Ally, We Live in Cairo), Jesús-Papoleto Meléndez (The Good Nurse), with Catalina Chang as Samya and Madison Smith as Leila.

Nothing Left to Burn reimagines the true story behind Mohamed Bouazizi, the Tunisian fruit vendor whose act of self-immolation sparked the Arab Spring. Osh Ashruf (The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, Love Among Dreamers) is set to direct, with Ella Martin as associate director.

“We wanted to honor the life of Bouazizi in a way that felt personal, funny, and deeply human," Vassel said in a statement. "This play is not just about politics—it’s about the complexities of love, identity, and the human condition.”

"The challenge with this story was capturing the gravity of Bouazizi’s actions while still allowing space for humor and heart," adds Hanash. "It's a play about loss, hope, and the way that a single moment can shift everything,”

BFA's Front Door Reading series is curated by playwright Mona Mansour (The Vagrant Trilogy, Unseen). Previous presentations included Asha Hayes-Roberts' From Time, directed by Schele Williams; and Karina Curet's Casa Cristo, directed by Alejandra Ramos.
