News Frank Langella Journeys West for "Youth in Oregon" Tony winner Frank Langella will star in the new film "Youth in Oregon," which is based on a true story, according to Deadline.com.

Joel David Moore, who revised Andrew Eisen's screenplay, will direct the motion picture, which will likely begin shooting in June.

According to the online news source, Langella will play a "cantankerous old man being driven by his son-in-law cross-country to Oregon with the intention of being euthanized in the state where physician-assisted suicide is legal."

Producers are Joey Carey, Stefan Nowicki and Morgan White for Sundial Pictures.

Langella, a three-time Tony Award winner for his performances in Seascape, Fortune's Fool and Frost/Nixon, was most recently seen on Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Terence Rattigan's drama Man and Boy, directed by Maria Aitken.
