International News Emily Lane Is Anna in London's Frozen Starting September 28; Djavan van de Fliert and More Also Join Cast

The Disney musical continues at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Emily Lane, recently in the ensemble of the London production of Disney's Frozen at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, steps into the lead role of Anna beginning September 28. Lane has also been seen in the West End productions of Les Misérables and The Sound of Music.

Djavan van de Fliert also becomes the new Kristoff, marking his professional stage debut, and Rhianne Alleyne, Danny Becker, Marianne Bardgett, Rebecca Botterill, Char Burnett (Bulda), Collette Coleman, Davide Fienauri, Jemal Felix, Jordan Fox, Molly Francis, Harriet Samuels, Isabella Glanznig Santos, Ben Irish (Pabbie), Aoife Kenny, Jordan Livesey, Joshua Robinson, Caitlin Tipping, and Rodney Vubya join the ensemble.

These artists join a cast that includes Samantha Barks as Elsa, Craig Gallivan as Olaf, Oliver Ormson as Hans, Richard Frame as Duke of Weselton, and Mikayla Jade and Ashley Birchall, who alternate in the role of Sven, with ensemble members Jeremy Batt, Laura Emmitt, Matt Gillett, Justin-Lee Jones, Jacqui Sanchez (Queen Iduna), Jak Skelly (Oaken/Bishop), Kerry Spark (King Agnarr), Anna Woodside, and Luke Fraser Yates.

Based on the 2013 animated Disney film, Frozen features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and a book by Jennifer Lee. The musical opened on Broadway in March 2018, earning Tony Award nominations for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score. The Broadway production announced in May 2020 that it would not reopen post-pandemic.

Frozen is directed by Michael Grandage, with choreography by Rob Ashford, set and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Neil Austin, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry, and musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus.
