Dec. 2: Blending African beats and a world pop score, Second Stage presents the new Diane Paulus-helmed musical Invisible Thread. The story follows the life-changing journey of a young New Yorker who volunteers for an aid project in Uganda. 

Dec. 4: Oscar winner Al Pacino co-stars alongside Christopher Denham in David Mamet's two-hander, China Doll. Pacino plays a billionaire on the verge of retirement, ready to buy his young, new fiance a jetplane and settle into the good life. One phone call changes it all. See photos from the production here

Dec. 6: Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock — The Musical bounds onto Broadway starring Alex Brightman as music teacher Dewey Finn, the role made famous in the film by Jack Black. Dec. 6: Emmy winner Holland Taylor and Marylouise Burke battle it out for a final time in Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire's world-premiere comedy Ripcord at Manhattan Theatre Club. Set in a nursing home, his newest play sees two elderly women in a hilarious, no-holds-barred battle of the wills. You won't believe the lengths they'll go to.

Dec. 6: Critics have raved about Roundabout Theatre's Off-Broadway offering Ugly Lies The Bone, which wraps up next month. "The Good Wife" star Mamie Gummer plays a discharged soldier from Afghanistan who is left scarred both physically and emotionally in Lindsey Ferrentino's play. Nov. 26: The 89th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is broadcast live on NBC at 9 AM ET, features performances from Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof, Finding Neverland, The King and I, On Your Feet! and Something Rotten!, along with cast members from The Wiz Live!

Nov. 26: Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Morrison join First Lady Michelle Obama in hosting "Broadway at the White House," a Thanksgiving TV special on the TLC network aimed at encouraging youth to pursue a career in theatre. 

Nov. 27: Screen star Martin Sheen makes a one-night-only appearance singing in Man of La Mancha in the title role. The event is a fundraiser for Our Lady of Malibu School in California. 

Dec. 3: The countdown is finally over for the anticipated NBC broadcast of The Wiz Live! The star-studded cast is headed by Shanice Williams as Dorothy, Queen Latifah as The Wiz, Mary J.
